For an accurate quotation, Revanta Enterprises recommends sharing the machine function, continuous and peak load, speed, ratio, duty cycle, starts, reversing, shock, temperature, contamination, lubrication and required service life. These inputs influence tooth strength, wear, surface finish, material and heat-treatment selection. A replacement sample can reveal dimensions, but it cannot reliably reveal the original design intent or the conditions that caused wear.
Mating-component information is also important. Centre distance, mounting distance, bearing support, shaft alignment, housing stiffness, backlash and contact pattern can affect performance even when the replacement component is dimensionally correct.
The RFQ should identify module or diametral pitch, pressure angle, tooth count, helix or spiral data where applicable, bore and keyway or spline, hub features, material, heat treatment, hardness, gear quality, surface finish, quantity and delivery destination. Chain sprocket enquiries should include the exact chain standard, pitch, roller dimensions, row spacing and mounting arrangement.
Inspection requirements should be connected to functional datums and approved drawings. Material certificates, hardness checks, dimensional reports, runout or tooth measurement are supplied only when included in the confirmed scope. A sample can support reverse-engineering review, but mating data, duty conditions and approval dimensions are still valuable for a dependable quotation.
